Avs have lost 7 straight?

C-c-c-combo breaker!

Matthews no points minus 3, Marner no points minus 5 (yet no one will mention it)

Good thing it’s a later game, gonna listen to the 1st period on radio.

We talk this crap to death, but one thing I do struggle with: What would it cost to get Gudas? He has another year @ $3.3m, so Philly isn't under duress to trade him.

Until this year, I would never have said those words, but he is playing very well, and his shut down ability could pair nicely on the Leafs. Especially in place of Zaitsev. The thing is that if you bring in his $3.3m, you need to get out equal or more (Brown's 2.1m isn't enough).

Their last win was probably against the leafs in January.

Good news leafs are on the road and will just roll the lines instead of matching.

With philly be hot right now I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep everyone and try and squeeze into the playoffs.

Not impossible, but not likely either. 10 teams higher in the standings in the East. They are only 5 points out of the 2nd wildcard but would have to overtake 3 teams to get the 8th seed.

I thought that as well, but they have a 2% chance of making the playoffs. They have 57 points with 26 games remaining, and would need around 96 points to be in that conversation. So basically they need to go 19-6-1 over their remaining 26 games.

I think they have to face the music. But they have no direct impetus to trade Gudas if they feel they can fix what's wrong in the off-season. Next year if they're in a similar boat, he'll be a UFA.

I think Philly will test the waters but Dubas is huge on skill, skill and more skill. Unlikely he wants Gudas.

True, but I think they were dead last as of Jan 1st in the east. They have been one of the hottest teams in the nhl since and have seemingly found a goaltender in hart as well. I think they’ll use the full 2 weeks or whatever it is in till trade deadline to see where they’re at. Unless they going on a losing streak before that.

Marner will skate, put in effort, play like he cares and make at least one fantastic play.

Matthew will continue to not put forth any effort. Nobody will admit that his progression has been backwards.

Could be playing that way because of the Trouba hit that side lined him?
